BANSKA2GO! Part I.

In 2012, the Erasmus Student Network Slovakia and Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica decided to create a publication called Banska2GO! as a tribute to the 25th anniversary of the Erasmus program. The very first publication contains stories and experiences of 25 foreign students who participated in the Erasmus program at Matej Bel University. The number 25 is therefore a symbolic one, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Erasmus program in Europe. The publication's godfather was the vice-chancellor for international relations Prof. Ing. Igor Kosír, PhD., who introduced the book to the world by writing all over it, as a symbol of education. The ceremony was held on February 10th, 2012 during International Day at Matej Bel University. Many prominent guests, Matej Bel University officials, and both foreign and Slovak students participated in this ceremony.

Modern education is important not only for us but also for the whole society, in which we live. Everybody who studied abroad took this fact into consideration. On the pages of this book, you will find the life stories of students from all over Europe who participated in the Erasmus program at Matej Bel University. They chose to study in Banská Bystrica and they definitely had a valuable life experience by participating. We would like to thank Matej Bel University for supporting the project and foreign students for its realization.

BANSKA2GO Part II.

What we didn't know back in 2012 is that the publication would have a second part a few years later, exactly in the year in which we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Erasmus program. Hence, a new publication, in a similar spirit, was born in 2017. It contains stories, experiences, and messages from all the other Erasmus students that have spent their time at Matej Bel University in the most recent years.

The thanks go to: Matej Bel University, Miroslava Bohatová and the section board for 2015/2016 - Eva Midlíková, Timotej Hossa, Dušana Hamráková, Lucia Gandžalová, Lucia Kubaľáková, Monika Tokolyová, Taygun Tiryaki, Annamária Košutová, Lucia Jakubová, Veronika Kusá, Barbora Osvaldová, Veronika Valčáková, Maroš Valčák, Jakub Trojnar, Martin Juščák, and Marek Vajdiar.
